A seminar to create awareness and to promote the availability and the use of two new Technical References for the EMS is coming your way on 1 October 2001 at the PSB Auditorium (Science Park). The two Technical References, which are among the first standards to emerge in the EMS industry, are on the "Exhibition content (EC)" and "Safety, health and technical operational efficiency (SHTOE)" respectively. Attend this seminar to get a better understanding of the two Technical References and how they will benefit the EMS industry.

The Technical Reference on EC lists out a common set of terminology by the industry will lead to objective comparisons and discussions. A recommended set of standard procedures for auditors auditing exhibitions is also included in this Technical Reference which allows exhibitions to be meaningfully assessed and measured. The Technical Reference on SHTOE sets out guidelines and recommendations covering the preparation process for exhibitions and the exhibition procedures from build-up to tear-down. The recommended practices of organisers, contractors and exhibitors are documented for the guidance of the industry.
